Cookies and Tracking
Ochre Media keeps its cookie usage extremely narrow: strictly-necessary authentication + language preference, and a cookieless analytics tag. No marketing cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
1. Strictly-necessary cookies
Supabase Auth (ochremedia.com.au domain) — set when you sign in. Holds your session JWT. Required for the creator / brand portal. Expires when you sign out or after 7 days idle.
NEXT_LOCALE (ochremedia.com.au domain) — remembers your language preference (en / zh-CN). Set when you switch languages. Expires after 1 year.
2. Analytics (cookieless)
Plausible (plausible.io) — counts page views and aggregated geo / browser data. Does NOT set cookies. Does NOT track individual users across sessions. IP addresses are immediately hashed and discarded.
We use this to understand which pages are read, not who is reading them.
3. What we do NOT use
No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, no TikTok Pixel, no third-party advertising cookies, no fingerprinting libraries. If we ever add any of the above, this page will be updated and an explicit consent gate will be added (cookies will be loaded only after you opt in).
4. Your control
You can clear all Ochre Media cookies by signing out and clearing your browser’s site data. Plausible is cookieless so there is nothing to opt out of — it cannot identify you. If you are in the EU/UK and would like to verify our analytics handling, contact privacy@ochremedia.com.au.
